Behind the Scene

For most people, turning on the water tap is part of a normal daily routine. Little thought goes toward what happens, behind the scene. Behind the scene there are two wells that take turns drawing and pumping water from our aquafer all the way up to the water tanks at 14 Escondido Road. Once the water reaches a certain level in the water tanks, the well stops drawing water. The water in the tanks is distributed throughout the community by our booster pumping station. The booster pumping stations operates continuously, alternating pumps, whenever water spigots within the community are turned on. Water sanitation is achieved by chlorinating the water. Residual chlorination is checked monthly when the water is tested. Test results may be located on the Drinking Water Bureau Website. There is a link to the Drinking Water Bureau under the Resources Tab.
